First Non-formal Financial Literacy Training at Vocational High School “St. Patriarch Evtimiy” – Asenovgrad (14 April 2025)

On 14 April 2025, the team of Youth Center – Asenovgrad delivered, for the first time at the Vocational High School “St. Patriarch Evtimiy” – Asenovgrad, a non-formal training in financial literacy. The session focused on practical skills that help young people make informed decisions about their money—today and in the future.

The training was built around an interactive game in which students immersed themselves in the world of personal budgeting, saving, and first steps in investing. Working with scenarios and in small teams, the youth tested different choices and saw how each expense affects the overall plan.

Key takeaways the class reached were clear and memorable:

  • 📊 Every expense is a decision—and a responsibility toward future priorities.

  • 🧠 Money management doesn’t come with age; it comes with knowledge—it’s learned and practiced.

  • 💡 This isn’t a lesson for a grade; it’s a lesson for life—a habit to be developed over time.

We thank the leadership and staff of the Vocational High School “St. Patriarch Evtimiy” for the invitation and support. We believe we laid a solid foundation for future meetings where we will build on topics such as smart planning, goal-oriented saving, and responsible financial decisions.
