Non-formal Training on “Tolerance” at PGHVT “Dimitri Solunski” – Asenovgrad (13 February 2025)
On 13 February 2025, the team of Youth Center – Asenovgrad delivered a non-formal training on tolerance with a different class at PGHVT “Dimitri Solunski” – Asenovgrad. As part of a brief introductory segment, we presented the Center’s work and opportunities for involvement in upcoming initiatives.
The session included a brainstorm (associations with the word “tolerance”), discussion of everyday situations, and a role-play exercise based on verbally presented scenarios. The focus was on respecting differences, distinguishing facts from assumptions, and practicing non-judgmental dialogue.
We concluded with a short reflection (“What am I taking away from today?”) and collected suggestions for future topics—hate-free language, empathy in conflict, and an inclusive classroom climate. Students were actively engaged and proposed concrete steps toward more positive everyday communication.
